About Bear Stories:
The author is my husband of 53 years and father to our nine sons and four daughters. He was raised on a cattle and sheep ranch in the beautiful Star Valley of Wyoming. He was a U.S. Marine, two
years (1947–1949) in Tsingtao, China, during our letter-writing courtship. When he returned home, we married, and he obtained a B.S. and M.S., and went on to teach high school students for ten
years.
During the time our children were growing up he made up imaginary bear stories to tell them at bedtime. I felt that they were good enough that others would enjoy them also.
He was a Management Analyst for the Air Force and became an author upon retiring. I prevailed upon him to include these bear stories among the ten books he is publishing. I invite you to enjoy these stories as our family has.
